ABOUT NEW BODY – NEW MIND

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I schedule an appointment?

New patients can request an appointment only by calling 617-969-8995. Established patients can book appointments in person, via phone or email. All patients are advised to book their appointments in advance in order to secure dates and times that work best for them and to avoid interruption in treatment.

Can I begin my treatment if I’m seeing a chiropractor, acupuncturist, or other healthcare provider?

Yes, manual therapy, physical therapy, individualized exercise and hypnotherapy are not only effective in conjunction with treatments provided by other providers, but may enhance their results. We believe in communicating and working closely with your other medical practitioners to optimize your recovery.

How much time should I designate for a physical medicine session?

You should be prepared to be in our office for about 60-90 minutes during the initial evaluation. Follow-up sessions are 45 minutes long. You can always depend on us to start and end your treatment on time. Being disciplined about our schedule is one of the ways we show respect to our patients.

How long are hypnosis sessions?

Hypnotherapy sessions typically range from 1-2 hrs.

What should I wear to my appointment?

For your first manual therapy or physical therapy session, please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. For women, we suggest a camisole beneath a shirt, so we can access the back of the neck and upper back, if treatment involves these areas. During your initial evaluation, we will suggest appropriate clothing for future appointments. For alternative exercise sessions, please wear comfortable exercise clothes. There is no special clothing requirement for hypnotherapy appointments.

Will I be treated in the same room with any other patients?

No, you will have full privacy. All sessions are conducted in private rooms.

Can you bill my medical insurance for my treatment at New Body – New Mind?
