One of the most important elements of your physical therapy session will be therapeutic exercises. We will also educate and train you in areas such as safe performance of daily tasks, ergonomics, use of braces and splints to protect joints, and use of crutches, cane, walker or wheelchair.
To resolve inflammation, promote tissue healing, and reduce muscle spasm, we may use therapeutic ultrasound, electrical stimulation, iontophoresis, or phonophoresis. Depending on the specifics of your condition, we may also use some manual therapy techniques to prepare your joints and soft tissues for active exercise.
To ensure the best outcome of your physical therapy treatment, we will coordinate your care with your physician and / or any other healthcare professional you work with (your chiropractor, acupuncturist, etc.).
